Football League Championship Stadiums

The Football League Championship is the second tier of the English professional football league pyramid, and the highest division of The Football League.

The largest stadium currently in the Npower Championship is Hillsborough the home of Sheffield Wednesday. The current Championship winners are Reading who by winning the league gain promotion to the Premier League Stadium, along with Southampton and Reading who were the Football League Championship runners-up and the winners of the play-off final at Wembley respectively.

2012/13 Championship Stadiums

The 2012/13 Football League Championship season runs from August to May and will be contested between all 24 teams. Each team will play each other twice therefore completing a total of 46 games, with the top two teams winning promotion to the Premier League along with the winners of the play-off final. The leagues current sponsor is Npower and the the official title of the league is the Npower Championship.

Npower Championship Stadiums

At the end of the season, the bottom three teams are relegated to Football League One. The third to sixth place teams enter the Football League Championship play-offs which is a knock-out competition with the winner being promoted to the Premier League.
