Donbass Arena is the new home of FC Shakhtar Donetsk replacing Shakhtar's old home of RSK Olimpiyskiy and has a all-seater capacity of 50,000. Donbass Arena was officially opened on 29th August 2009 and will be used as one of the Ukrainian host venues during UEFA Euro 2012 and will host group stage games and one quarter-final and one semi-final game. The total cost of the new stadium project and surrounding park areas was USD 400m. The size of the playing surface at Donbass Arena is 105m × 68 m.
